Aslam Khwaja

Born in Hyderabad, Sindh, on 25th December, 1962. Joined left politics in late 1970s, during General Zia Martial Law with the student wing of the Communist Party of Pakistan. Worked as reporter and sub-editor with leading Sindhi newspapers. Wrote and translated over three dozen books in Sindhi, Urdu and English. Voluntarily worked with leading social welfare organization, Edhi foundation, including translating the autobiography of Abdul Sattar Edhi into Sindhi and Urdu. Actively participated in India-Pakistan peace initiatives, including the Delhi to Multan peace march.
